    What We Are

    The Board of Trustees is the governance group of Te Anau School. It is the BoT’s job to set policies and procedures, manage employment, manage finances, manage property and to set the strategic direction of the school. The BoT meets twice a term.

    What We Are?

    PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, a school-based organization with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn.

    The objectives of the PTA are:

    a. To provide a link between the pupil, the home and parents/caregivers and school
    b. To provide a link between the pupil, the home and parents/caregivers and school
    c. To bring parents and teachers together in social activities or fundraisers
    d. To help in raising funds to provide improved facilities and opportunities for members of the school community


    Any parent, caregiver, teacher or interested adult may become a member of our PTA and we always welcome new faces on the committee. We usually meet on the twice a term in Week 3 and 8 of the term. Meetings alternate between 3:15pm and 7pm. If you prefer not to be a committee member and attend meetings but would like to help with our fundraising activities just let a committee member know.

Orbell is wearing a greenstone necklace (pounamu) representing Fiordland/Milford Sound, the Te Anau School uniform to show our uniqueness and pride and a friendly and welcoming smile just like a Te Anau learner.
