ERO stands for “Education Review Office“. ERO’s role is to review schools and early childhood centers. They also publish reports on best practice. Our last review was carried out in June of 2023 and the report was finalised in July 2023.
The Purpose of an ERO Report:
“The purpose of ERO’s reviews is to give parents and the wider school community assurance about the quality of education that schools provide and their children receive. An ERO school report answers the question “How effectively is this school’s curriculum promoting student learning – engagement, progress and achievement?” Under that overarching question ERO reports on the quality of education and learning outcomes for children and for specific groups of children including Maori students, Pacific students and students with special needs. ERO also reports on the quality of the school’s systems for sustaining and continuing improvements.” (ERO website – www.ero.govt.nz)
The development plan draws together aspirations to develop the property over the next 20 years. It is recognised that future development will need to occur in phases – this plan will provide a
coordinated approach to individual projects. Scheduling of projects is tied to roll growth, condition assessment and approval by the MoE.
